OUR VALUES: #3 - WE CENTER EVERYTHING WE DO AROUND THE BIBLE

As kings and priests it is our privilege and joy to encounter God is His Word. We don’t want to just sing our own spontaneous songs and pray our own words. We want to dive into the Word of God and let that be the wellspring and the source of everything we sing and pray in the prayer room.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16

We are called to let the Word of Christ dwell richly in us. This means making it a priority. We start with, and are always coming back to, His Word. His Word is our final authority and we give ourselves fully to know Him and grow in love for Him through His Word.

The Word of God gives us power to do what we are called to do (2 Timothy 3:16). We need the Word of God to survive; it sustains us, it increases our faith and it anchors us to the truth of who God is.
