OUR VALUES: #2 - WE WORSHIP AND PRAY AS OUR FIRST PRIORITY

Welcome to our second Gospel-informed value. Our values remind us of what is most central and important to the way we work and live together. 

Our second value is - “We Worship and Pray as our First Priority”. 

“You have made them to be a kingdom of priests to serve our God and they will reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:10

The Gospel reveals our identity as kings and priests. In the garden we were originally created in the image of God to enjoy God and to minister to God. Sin broke this relationship. Our relationship with God was restored through the cross so that we could minister to Him through our prayer and worship. This is our primary calling. 

“Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession” Hebrews 3:1

We worship: declaring who God is and His worth to the nations. We give all of our love and devotion to the God of the universe, fulfilling the first commandment. This is agreement with the truth at the highest level and it impacts our hearts and the atmosphere where we are. 

We pray: remembering God’s promises in His Word and agreeing for them to be fulfilled. We want to see it be “on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). We are confident that God hears our voices and that when we pray - He moves. Lives are changed and the gospel goes forward in power when we partner in intercession. 

Our identity as kings and priests before God underlines all that we do. Wherever we go and whatever the mission is, prayer and worship will always be our first priority.
